WOMEN SHG AT ADHIVASI COLONY
Since 1996 we encourage Women folk and organizing them into Self Help Groups. It is to encourage and involve the women for their partial income generation activities. Their trade/profession depends on their training, talent and interest. We too have training for their skills development that is they are trained in our Tailoring & Craft units.
The age limit to be a member of SHG is 18 to 45 years. As per Government norms the members of each SHG should be 12 to 20. But we have 20 members in our SHGs. In each SHG, each member is saving a sum of Rs.100/- per month. Our track records in formation of SHGs are:
(i) Animators & Representatives Training (A&R Training), and
(ii) SHG Members Training
More than 12,150 SHGs formed in Villupuram & Tiruvannamalai Districts.
375 SHGs in Chennai.
Provided more than Rs.5 crores as revolving fund to SHGs for their income generation activities.
Arranged PMRY loan to SHG member in North Chennai.
Formed network like Block/Ward level Federation, Zonal level Federation for all SHGs.

INN involved in different activities and began its educational and training programs initially for ten small villages, and at one stage its activities were spread in over three hundred and sixty villages.
